The company procedures and departmental structure is arranged to ensure that a project design engineer is appointed at an early stage. The engineer then takes the clients' brief and prepare cost plans and subsequently stays with the project through design development and working drawing preparation, to commissioning and handover. This seamless process gives assurance that the works will meet the clients expectations, both with respect to cost and performance. The designer is able, at all stages, to draw on the extensive departmental and company resources to achieve the outcome.

	BBS Ltd design department are able to develop a project from initial concept to contract stage through all stages including:
		Feasibility studies
		Cost plan estimates and life cycle savings
		The development of the conceptual designs
		Preparation of fully coordinated installation drawings
		Obtaining the approval of the regulatory planning and statutory authorities

As part of ongoing commitment to provide a cutting edge service, our design team are versed in SBEM calculations and can produce E.P.C. (Energy Performance Certificates) and D.E.C. (Display Energy Certificates) in accordance with Part 'L' Building Regulations Calculations.

A computer-aided design and draughting systems operating 2D provides our engineers with the ability to produce a full model of the building with it's services which can then be interrogated to show any plan, section, or elevation. This can greatly assist on appropriate projects in a co-ordinating role to ensure that clashes are eliminated before work on site commences.

BBS Ltd carries professional indemnity insurance cover of £2 million per annum, for any one incident (unlimited reinstatements).
